Year 9 Camp

Early this term, our Year 9’s headed off in 2 groups on camp, spending a night camping at Stumpys and a night at the Field Study Centre. Both groups had to endure some rough weather but did a really good job of being flexible and adapting to changes in schedule. Students participated in a number of walks that built their resilience and appreciation for one another and the outdoors, as well as learning the cultural significance of some of the sites to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. Staff were very impressed with how students stepped up to challenges and worked together to achieve common goals. Overall it was an enjoyable experience for all involved.
